2017-2018 Sandringham Life Saving Club Board of Management
“We are committed to the safety and wellbeing of our young members and strive to communicate honestly and openly with parents and carers about their wellbeing and safety”
Bree Ambry
President

I have been involved with lifesaving since gaining my Bronze at the age of 15. I joined Sandringham LSC in October 2014, coming into the club as the President to assist with the ongoing development of the the club and its members.
Prior to coming to Sandringham, I have been Vice-President at Seaford LSC where my portfolio was responsible for the development of the club and members. I spent 9 years as the Mornington District Officer, reponsible for the coordination of Training and Assessment on the Mornington Peninsula, and 2 years as the Council of Lifesaving Club's Council Representative. I also currently sit on the Life Saving Victoria Honours and Awards Commitee, Awards of Excellence Committee.

I have attended the SLSA National Leadership Camp (2007), the SLSA Leaders Masterclass (2013) and am a member of the LSV Female Leadership Network. In both 2013 & 2014, I was lucky to be named as the LSV Volunteer Assessor of the Year.

Outside of lifesaving, I live in Mt Eliza with my partner Darren and daugher Isabella. I am currently studying a Bacherlor of Arts at Deakin University (specialising in International Relations, Politics and History). I love taking photos and making the most of any opportunity to travel.

I'm originally from Sydney, growing up near Cronulla and always at the beach. As a young bloke I was a member of Maroubra Nippers  but my family had always been associated with surf lifesaving.

Having kids of my own has reiterated the importance of safety in and around water as well as supporting the great work SLS does.
Married to Nicola and have two boys - Josh (U7s) and Liam (4yo) and recently started a new career teaching Phys Ed at Sandringham East Primary School and absolutely loving it.
I'm looking forward to working with patents and the broader community to take our club to the next level.
